What have you been paying attention to?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 10, 2008:
I have been paying attention to this: in the moment, am I interpreting my experience or observing it? The difference usually depends on the situation and whether it is calling for a response from me. But sometimes I am bringing emotion to the experience that moves me from observation to interpretation. I try, then , to self correct. This is all I have notices so far.

Well, I see you've just jumped right in the pond with everyone else. I sense that we are always doing both, and not exclusively of one or the other. Observation seems to and can occur without a great amount of interpretation (sometimes called judgement), but interpretation always comes after observation it would seem. Emotion is okay to as nothing is excluded in the whole thing … our experience gets broader and more expansive as we let go of these concepts. Conceptual understanding is trumped by experiential knowing, a deep knowing that says, “I AM.”
by being so in the moment there is only that……the I am,is…….Thanks Satya-Seer…..
