How do you deal with fear?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 19, 2009:
To me, fear is an indication that something about me needs my attention and recognition, usually something that has taken me from the center of myself and sidetracked me somehow. Something calling me back to spirit. It is the same with anger. Over the years, my process for these emotions has evolved. I dive right in to find the root cause, by self examination, or witnessing what comes into my experience while I am feeling fear, and my reactions to it. I do not express or respond to the source of the fear until the feeling is gone and my harmony has returned. Expressing fear with love is the only way for me now.
